Summary

Echo Ridge is small-town America。 Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it。 Her aunt went missing there at age seventeen。 And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed。 Now Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows。

The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets。 And before school even begins for Ellery, someone's declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago。 Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing。

Ellery knows all about secrets。 Her mother has them; her grandmother does too。 And the longer she's in Echo Ridge, the clearer it becomes that everyone there is hiding something。 The thing is, secrets are dangerous--and most people aren't good at keeping them。 Which is why in Echo Ridge, it's safest to keep your secrets to yourself。

Around 3。7It was a decent ya mystery story。 Nothing surprising though I didn’t predict the ending which is a huge plus for me。I enjoyed reading about the background of the characters and their family stories。 Stories from the past intertwined with the present action and it formed a great web of lies。 I lived for the emotional revelations and arguments。 They were very well executed and believable。I liked that I wasn’t expecting the ending。 It would bore me to know who done it halfway thought the Around 3。7It was a decent ya mystery story。 Nothing surprising though I didn’t predict the ending which is a huge plus for me。I enjoyed reading about the background of the characters and their family stories。 Stories from the past intertwined with the present action and it formed a great web of lies。 I lived for the emotional revelations and arguments。 They were very well executed and believable。I liked that I wasn’t expecting the ending。 It would bore me to know who done it halfway thought the book, but that was partly because the reader wasn’t presented with all the facts。 It may be good for some but for me it meant that the story was too straightforward to say it all。 I like the suspense and the overthinking I do trying to figure out ploy。 Here the reader wasn’t trusted with sufficient clues to do that。What struck me the most was the relationships between the characters。 They didn’t overshadow the main plot but were still developing。 。。。more

Al principio fue una lectura muy pesada y no avanzaba mucho, pero desde la mitad ya fue una lectura mucho más rápida。Me gustó el final。

OMG that was crazy fun。 I love these books and the twists and turns as things are revealed。 I NEED more!

I loved reading this book and I totally wasn’t expecting the ending but it was really good。 While reading this book I didn’t want to put it down I just wanted to find out who the killer was I had my own suspects while reading。 I’d give this book a 4/5 it was really good but there was one part in the end that I’d didn’t like but I don't want to say it and spoil it。 I loved reading this book and I totally wasn’t expecting the ending but it was really good。 While reading this book I didn’t want to put it down I just wanted to find out who the killer was I had my own suspects while reading。 I’d give this book a 4/5 it was really good but there was one part in the end that I’d didn’t like but I don't want to say it and spoil it。 。。。more

Once I finally learned all the characters names I really liked this book。 The surplus of characters added a realistic dynamic。 The ending was good, but it was slow at times。

Two can keep a secret is boring。 There is way too much exposition for what little conclusion/ falling action there is。 The twist isn’t even surprising in a good way, it feels armed in。

Interesting small town vibe。 The characters and their relationships were interesting to see develop。

I greatly enjoyed this book。 The abundance of characters has the potential to cause some confusion and backtracking, but it helped keep the twist ending a secret until the big reveal。 We also got some LGBTQ+ characters whose personalities were more than just their sexualities, so hats off to the author for that。 My only complaint is that I wish Ezra and Mia had more importance; they were my favorite characters, so it was a bummer that they didn’t serve a more significant role in all the action。

Two Can Keep a Secret is a great book! I loved all the mystery around the disappearance of Sarah and the death of Lacy。 The Death of Brook helped tie the ends together unfortunately, and the almost death of our main characters。 Our two main characters are very interesting, their stories are tied into the plot of the stories。 And it makes the reader want to know the truth。 The ending is nice。 Our main characters get together and our murderer is in prison。

I really liked this book, but it felt messy at times。 There were so many “clues” that didn’t amount to anything and it was hard to fully grasp what was important or not。

I really enjoy the way that Karen McManus writes! She plots her mysteries with such an intelligence and keeps you guessing till the very end。 It is such a great thing to have found a write that is just getting started and to have finished reading all that she has written, you almost feel a part of something。 This is another page turner with sibling hijinks, a new school, twisted families with dark secrets, and unfortunate homecoming queens- all tied together in a suspense filled what will happen I really enjoy the way that Karen McManus writes!

Good, this one was good。 So far out of 3 books by Karen McManus I have really loved 1, this would come in second。 Did have me keep guessing and turning the pages though!

Thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced, quick read!! So many characters that you will be intrigued by as they develop in each chapter。 Great story and I really enjoyed how it ends。 Well done!

4。5!!! I really enjoyed this book。 Twins, Ellery and Ezra move to Echo Ridge after their mom (Sadie) is put into rehab。 We realize right away that the kids have a bad relationship with their mom, since they call her by her first name。 Sadies sister (Sarah) went missing at the age of 17 and 5 years ago a homecoming queen by the name of Lacey was killed as well/Now Homecoming is coming up again and someone is making a threat to the queens on court。 One of the queens even goes missing and makes the 4。5!!! I disliked this book, but I think it is because I’m not a huge fan of this genre。 It’s not bad it’s just not my cup of tea。 I feel these types of stories are more easily translated on screen。

I thought that this book was pretty good and always kept me on my toes, going from one suspect to the next。 There were also little mysteries within the main mystery that caught me off guard and also gave huge clues to the backgrounds of some of the characters。 I think that this is a really good book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a mystery that isn’t so easily figured out。

Nicht *ganz* so spannend wie erwartet, aber definitiv gut zu lesen, mit überraschenden Wendungen und netten Charakteren。 Sicher nicht das letzte Buch dieser Autorin, das ich lesen werde。

The book was meh。 I was disappointed, considering that I liked One of Us Is Lying and was fine with One of Us Is Next。This book bored the hell out of me。 It took many chapters (60% of the book) before something REALLY happened。 And even then, it was not thrilling。 It was predictable。The writing is good; it’s very easy to read。 However, I think McManus can improve her “Show Not Tell” writing technique。 It would help the readers imagine the scenes and feel like they’re there。Also, I noticed that t The book was meh。 I was disappointed, considering that I liked One of Us Is Lying and was fine with One of Us Is Next。This book bored the hell out of me。 It took many chapters (60% of the book) before something REALLY happened。 And even then, it was not thrilling。 It was predictable。The writing is good; it’s very easy to read。 However, I think McManus can improve her “Show Not Tell” writing technique。 It would help the readers imagine the scenes and feel like they’re there。Also, I noticed that there are a lot of similarities from McManus’s books。 There are repeated words/phrases from her books (empathically, tendrils, etc。), and some characters possess the same traits (Sadie has the same nervous tell as Addy—tugging on her earrings)。Overall, I didn’t like this book。 :( 。。。more
